As per 1 January 2021 Tom Peeters is the new managing partner of VANEPS. Tom succeeds Focco Lunsingh Scheurleer, who will fully focus on the ever-growing Banking & Finance practice.

Tom Peeters has been working at VANEPS since 2013 and previously worked at Norton Rose Fullbright, AT Osborne, CMS and as a navy officer. As location manager of the offices on Aruba and Bonaire and as a real estate specialist, he was involved in local and international real estate projects and tenders. He will continue his practice and will be present at offices of VANEPS in the Dutch Caribbean (Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba and St. Maarten) on a regular basis.

Tom: “The Dutch Caribbean offers interesting opportunities for our local and international clients, in which good legal advice and support in an ever changing legal, political and social context keeps getting more important. As location manager and from now on as managing partner, it is important to channel that and create preconditions so we can serve our clients in the most ideal way. In the upcoming years, I will strive to further connect our professionals and our clients.”

VANEPS is the only Chambers and Partners band 1 ranked firm in the Dutch Caribbean and operates from a ‘one firm’ thought, in which local presence and knowledge of local circumstances are being combined with the expertise on the various islands. VANEPS is known as a top firm with a strong local ‘footprint’.
