This week, the legal faculty of the University of Curaçao (UoC) and the Center for Postgraduate Legal Education of the Radboud University Nijmegen organize their annual Postgraduate Courses on Curaçao. The opening reception, that took place on Sunday 11 March and is traditionally hosted by VANEPS, was again very successful.

Participants, lecturers and other parties involved gathered at the patio of our office in Curaçao, to kick off the course week while enjoying snacks and drinks. The Postgraduate Courses are organized to bring attorneys at law, (junior) civil-law notaries, members of the judiciary magistracy and legal counsels up to speed on the latest trends within various areas of law. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Postgraduate Courses an additional symposium ‘Witte boorden ontsporingen’ takes place on Thursday 15 March.

Every year, our firm is closely involved with the Postgraduate Courses on Curaçao. Partner Frank Kunneman is, together with Bas Kortmann, one of the initiators of these courses and is also one of the lecturers. Moreover, Frank will speak at the symposium as well. Furthermore, several lawyers of VANEPS participate in the courses, to get informed about the relevant en recent issues regarding property law, corporate law and criminal law.
