VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne advises Maduro & Curiel’s Bank N.V. in the refinancing of USD 32 million Telem bond issue

On 28 August 2020 the closing of the refinancing for the USD 32 million Telem bond issue from 2016 took place. The funds will enable Telem to realize their ‘Fiber to home’ project.

VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne acted as advisor for Maduro & Curiel’s Bank N.V. Maduro & Curiel’s Bank N.V. acted as arranger, agent, security agent and lender in this refinancing. Other parties involved were Sint Maarten Telecommunication Holding Company N.V. (as borrower), several group entities, bond holders and several lenders. In addition to assisting Maduro & Curiel’s Bank N.V. in the negotiations with Telem, our firm was responsible for the drafting of all transaction documentation, the assessment of the required concessions and the coordination with respect to the repayment of the outstanding bonds.
