Wolf Legal Publishers recently published the collection The relationships in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a future perspective (‘De verhoudingen in het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, een perspectief op de toekomst’) . This publication gives an overview of the plenary presentations that were given during the annual Conference of Constitutional Law in 2015 in the Netherlands. In addition, the book provides a number of selected papers of experts in the field of the new relations in the Kingdom since 10 October 2010. One of these authors and experts is Aubrich Bakhuis; attorney at law at VANEPS.

In his paper, Aubrich addresses the enforcement of the Charter of the Kingdom of the Netherlands since the last major changes in its structure on 10-10-10. He presents an overview of the possibilities to intervene in the administration of the Caribbean countries and of the situations that occurred as part of the guarantee function of the Kingdom. He particularly focuses on the (im)possibilities to issue instructions to the Governors of the Caribbean countries.

Next to attorney at law at VANEPS, Aubrich is a Ph.D. candidate in Caribbean constitutional and administrative law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. His thesis focuses on administrative and financial supervision in the Dutch Caribbean, and is being finalized at this moment. The collection The relationships in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a future perspective can be purchased via the website of Wolf Legal Publishers.
