BiographyMichiel van den Brink joined VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in September 2011. Michiel started his career in 2007 at a medium-sized law firm in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where he assisted local companies and multinationals with regard to general contract law and company law. Michiel is an experienced litigator. Furthermore, he was frequently appointed as receiver in bankruptcy by the Amsterdam District Court.
Michiel studied Dutch and International Law at the University of Leiden, The Netherlands and the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and graduated in 2006. During his studies, he worked as a legal clerk for a Cape Town law firm and was involved with a free legal aid organization.
Since 2012, Michiel has also been appointed as receiver in bankruptcy by the Sint Maarten Court of First Instance.
