BiographyIn the period from 1971 until 1974, Norbert was a junior lawyer at Stibbe in Amsterdam. After he moved to the east of the Netherlands, he has always been practicing as a lawyer, most recently with Damsté Lawyers and Notaries, where he was engaged in commercial practice and insolvency law; the last few years as head of the commercial and corporate law division. Norbert was also involved with the specialization society Insolad since it was established, of which society he was a board member for five years as well.
Norbert was a trustee in many bankruptcies in the Netherlands, inter alia in the sectors energy (InfraXS Energy and Berkel plant), wholesale group companies with several foreign subsidiaries (Hartman Group, Carbo Group), professional soccer organization (F.C. Twente) and Textile (L. ten Cate Tricot, Van Heek Scholco, Van Heek Tweka). Until 2011, Norbert was substitute judge in Almelo and vice-chairman of the Board of Arbitrators with the KNVB (Royal Netherlands Football Association). In addition, Norbert was a teacher of bankruptcy law at the internship training.
In February 2011, Norbert moved to St. Maarten. Since July 1, 2011 Norbert has been working with VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne, where he is involved in the start up the office in St. Maarten.
