Biografie
Laurien Dumas startte haar carrière bij VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in 2001. Na 7 jaar is ze naar New York verhuisd en is teruggekeerd bij het kantoor in Curaçao in 2010. Laurien adviseert financiële instellingen, multinationals en lokale ondernemingen en heeft ruime ervaring op het gebied van ondernemingsrecht, fusies en overnames, herstructureringen, (her-)financieringen, kapitaalmarkttransacties, zekerheden en toezicht op financiële instellingen.

Laurien houdt zich verder bezig met het Intellectueel Eigendomsrecht. Zij heeft adidas bijgestaan in een grote zaak tegen lokale counterfeiters. De zaak resulteerde in een baanbrekende vonnis op het gebied van merkinbreuk met betrekking tot de in- en uitvoer van counterfeit vanuit de Curaçaose Freezone.

Een andere specialiteit van Laurien is adviseren over de registratie van vliegtuigen in Aruba en/of Curaçao. Zij heeft diverse cliënten, zowel vliegtuigeigenaren als financiers, geadviseerd over de registratie van vliegtuigen in het Nationaliteitsregister en het Titel Register, over lokale regelgeving, bij het opstellen van vliegtuig lease-overeenkomsten en/of zekerheidsdocumenten en het afgeven van een legal opinion over de transactie.
