We have a reputation as the region’s erudite centre of legal and market developments. We probably have the largest legal library in the Dutch Caribbean and we have access to many international databases.

Also, we have more lecturers than any other firm and we invest highly in the training of our people. We proudly share our vast knowledge base as it continues to develop in the Practice Areas, via our publications, participation in committees and several regional and international magazines.

'Curacao, the Netherlands Antilles and the Kingdom: a look through the constitutional prism'

Ben Gardner and Jeremias Prassl (Harvard Law School LL.M. Class of 2009) in January of 2009 spent  three weeks travelling all over Curacao to discuss the upcoming constitutional changes with representatives of key stakeholder groups. Rather than relying on the aggregate data available at the time, their work tried to tease out the reason behind each constituency's preference. The results of their study were published by VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne and presented to its clients and other relations during a presentation by Ben and Jeremias at its offices.

In May 2009 their paper entitled 'Curaçao, the Netherlands Antilles and the Kingdom: a look through the constitutional prism' was awarded the Harvard’s Mancini Prize. This prize is awarded annually to the student writing the best paper in the field of European law and European legal thought.
