The local contractor “Dusron Bouwbedrijf” has become the principal contractor of the construction project, which is expected to be completed in early 2013.
Read more...ROTTERDAM – Three years and seven months after the downfall of Lehman Brothers, the trustees of the bankrupt American merchant bank make their first payment to the creditors today. This is confirmed by two Dutch lawyers who are involved in the largest bankruptcy in history as trustees of former subsidiaries of Lehman Brothers. The downfall of the bank was the prelude to the worldwide financial crisis in 2008.

Read more...WILLEMSTAD - On 20 March 2012 the Common Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba confirmed the sentence of the Court of First Instance of Curacao of 25 May 2009 in which a civil-law notary, the Land Registry Office (Kadaster) and the Island Territory of Curacao were held liable for overlooking a mortgage registration on a parcel of land when the ownership of such parcel of land was transferred to a new owner.

Of this amount 8.5 million dollars was borrowed additionally, and the remaining 21.5 million dollars already formed part of a loan the company has been repaying since 2002.
