Conference "Offshore Aircraft Registration in Aruba"

The Registry of Aruba hosted the Conference on “Offshore Aircraft Registration in Aruba” in Oranjestad, Aruba on 19 and 20 October 2011. Keynote address speaker was Otmar E. Oduber, Minister of Tourism, Transportation and Labor of Aruba. Various aspects of registration of aircraft in Aruba, which is a party to the Cape Town Convention, were discussed. A broad delegation from Aruba attended the conference, including senior advisers to the Minister, the Department of Civil Aviation of Aruba, and professionals with expertise in the area of aviation and aircraft registration. VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne was represented by Laurien Dumas and David Wever, attorneys experienced in the area of aircraft financing and registration in Aruba. The conference is considered a unique networking event in the region and the intention is that another conference on the same topic will be held in Aruba next year. 

"Air-Company SOMON AIR" LLC, the national carrier of the Republic of Tajikistan has registered in Aruba its first brand new Boeing 737-900. The aircraft has been registered under nationality marks P4-TAJ and will be based in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. The second brand new Boeing B737-900ER will be introduced in November 2011.
