Bonaire law firm expands further
The branch of law firm VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in Bonaire grows considerably.
VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne opened its branch in Bonaire in May 2009 with one regular lawyer on the island, Mark Kater, and several other lawyers who fly in each week from the office in Curaçao as “flying lawyers”. The local organization was recently further expanded with two more lawyers: Sophie van Lint and Cristel King. Alexandra Meupelenberg and as per 1 November Marjon Oele will also assist in the branch’s organization.
Until recently, the lawyers worked in the old building of “Radio Nederland Wereldomroep” (Radio Netherlands International). This was temporary, because the building the firm will is established in now was thoroughly renovated. The building where the foundation “AMFO” used to be located, is situated at Bulevar Gobernador N. Debrot 31 and has ten separate office spaces, some of which have been rented out. In the course of this year, all these offices will be taken into use. It is then that the official opening will take place as well. The renovation was facilitated with financing by Maduro & Curiel’s Bank in Bonaire.
Mark Kater: “Since mid-2009 we have served a growing number of satisfied clients in Bonaire. By being present, local details automatically become a part of our legal work. Participating in the island's legislation strongly expands our local knowledge. Working from an ultra-modern infrastructure of course also helps to optimize our services.”
